Who We Are

A National Institution Dedicated to
Transforming Frontline Insights Into Systemic Solutions.

The Macro Institute for Social Policy Advancement (MISPA) is a national, non-partisan institution dedicated to transforming frontline insights into systemic solutions. We build a critical micro-to-macro pipeline, equipping emerging and established professionals across the health, human services, and social sciences to analyze, navigate, and understand and respond to the policies that impact community well-being.

01
Pillar One

The Micro-to-Macro Pipeline

MISPA provides specialized training that prepares frontline practitioners — including social workers, counselors, and healthcare professionals — to understand and analyze policy systems from a macro perspective, bridging the gap left by traditional academic programs.

02
Pillar Two

Applied Policy Research

We host an interdisciplinary research incubator where fellows examine structural gaps in social systems and develop evidence-based, practical policy frameworks. Fellows gain hands-on experience translating research into professional-grade policy analysis.

03
Pillar Three

The Youth In Macro (YIM) Leadership Council

While MISPA serves as the national institute, we develop a nationwide network of rising leaders through the Youth in Macro Council — ensuring the next generation of practitioners is professionally equipped to contribute to national policy conversations.

Youth In Macro

The Student-Led Arm of MISPA

The YIM Leadership Council is the student body of MISPA — research fellowships and civic education for the next generation of social scientists and policy thinkers.
